Genloop · What We Do

How Recovery Works

We take an asset-first, execution-driven approach to recovering surplus combustion generation: sourcing idle machines, restoring them to OEM standard, and redeploying them into demand that cannot wait for new equipment.

01 · The Process

Four stages, one firm.

1.0

Assess

On-site diligence and residual-life engineering by our own team. We value the machine as it stands, and the project it could power.

2.0

Acquire

Outright as principal, or under mandate. Title, risk, and responsibility move to Genloop either way.

3.0

Restore

Dismantling, export, and fixed-scope refurbishment at the industry's principal shops, re-warrantied to OEM standard.

4.0

Redeploy

Delivered into fast-track projects for data center, IPP, and utility demand, with proceeds returned to the owner.

02 · Recovery Paths

Five ways an asset
comes through.

Every situation is different: a single surplus unit, a mothballed plant, a fleet, an estate. The path changes; the execution standard does not.

01

Direct acquisition

Genloop buys the asset outright, as principal, with its own and partners' capital. Speed and certainty for the owner; we take title and carry the risk from there.

02

Recovery mandate

Genloop takes the asset through recovery under a management contract with full execution scope. The owner captures the spread.

03

Divestment mandate

Programmatic recovery across a fleet or portfolio, sequenced and executed unit by unit under one standing agreement.

04

Court-supervised recovery

Valuation, expert testimony, and orderly recovery of generation assets for trustees, lenders, and counsel.

05

Retained ownership

The owner keeps title. The unit is restored and put into contracted service rather than sold, so it earns instead of sitting idle. Terms are set deal by deal.

For asset owners, every path above is controlled: the asset never goes to open market. One counterparty, complete discretion, and institutional discipline from first valuation to final settlement, whether the asset leaves your balance sheet or stays on it.

03 · What We Work With

Built around combustion
generation.

The installed thermal fleet: the machines the grid already depends on, and the only capacity that can move on the timelines demand now requires.
